We all know it is hard to bring God up in conversation. It is our hope that these simple questions will help you bring God into conversations and share a simple truth from scripture with your friends and family.
November 12
Talk: Have you ever been given directions but then decided not to follow them? How did that end up?

Text: You shall be careful therefore to do as the Lord your God has commanded you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess. Deuteronomy 5:32-33

Truth: We have been given God’s law as directions on how to live in a way that is glorifying to God. In response to his grace, mercy, and love, we should follow His directions.
January 2
Talk: Do you pray? When do you pray? What do you pray about?

Text: Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. Romans 10:1

Truth: It is my heart’s desire that you and everyone would be saved. Would you pray that same thing with me?
January 9
Talk: Who is Jesus? Do you know Him? Can I tell you about Him?

Text: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Truth: Jesus lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death and came back to life to pay the punishment of your sin!
January 16
Talk: Who or what do you follow? Feelings, Friends, Teachers, God?

Text: Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1

Truth: I would love to be a mentor to you. So that we can both grow closer to Jesus.
January 23
Talk: Who do you model your life after? Why did you choose to model your life after them?

Text: While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter)
and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:18-19

Truth: Jesus invites us to model our life after His. Will you do this with me?
January 30
Talk: Do you have a bucket list? What is on your bucket list? What do you want to achieve?

Text: 
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Truth: Jesus gives us a big vision of reaching everyone everywhere with the Gospel. Let’s Go!
February 6
Talk: How do you know if something is successful or not? What do you think makes a church/ministry successful?

Text: You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. John 15:16

Truth: Outward fruit of the gospel, prayer and discipleship is what shows a successful church.
February 13
Talk: What’s a priority in your life? How could others see that this thing is a priority to you? Where is God on your priority list?

Text: But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Truth: Priority #1 needs to be God. What does it look like to have God as #1?
February 20
Talk: How do you define love? Who is in the category of people you love? What are the limits of your love for them?

Text: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Truth: The love of God is for the whole world. Have you experienced his love through Jesus?
February 27
Talk:
 How do you know that someone loves you? Who has the deepest and strongest love for you? Who do you love the deepest and strongest? Do you think God loves you? Why or why not?

Text: But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5

Truth: God loves you so deeply that he made a way for you to be set free from a death sentence. Are you saved?
March 5
Talk: When have you faced tragedy or loss? How did you respond?

Text: Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that the Lord had visited his people and given them food. Ruth 1:6

Truth: God provided food in the midst of a famine. Sometimes it is easy to blame God or turn from Him in times of tragedy. Know that God is always there with you in the midst of the tragedy and will provide.
March 12
Talk: Who provides for you? Have you ever not had what you needed? What happened? 

Text: Let your eyes be on the field that they are reaping, and go after them. Have I not charged the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink what the young men have drawn. Ruth 2:9

Truth: In this story Ruth was an immigrant to a foreign land and had no money. She needed to rely on someone else to provide for her and God used Boaz to provide for Naomi and Ruth.
March 19
Talk: Have you ever needed help? Have you ever needed to be saved? Would you be willing to share?

Text: Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, should I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you? Ruth 3:1

Truth: Ruth and Naomi were in need of help and in this passage we see Boaz offer to help them. Jesus does the same for us.
March 26
Talk: If you knew it was your last week on earth what would you do? What do you think happens after this life? Could I tell you about how to get to heaven?

Text: And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. Luke 22:19-20

Truth: Jesus spent His week teaching, praying and drawing people to himself. Jesus provided a way to spend eternity in heaven. What is keeping you from believing in Him?
April 2
Talk: Have you ever redeemed something? How much would you be willing to spend on something you really wanted?

Text: Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech and all that belonged to Chilion and to Mahlon. Ruth 4:9

Truth: Boaz purchased the land of Naomi and also agreed to continue the family line of her husband and sons. Jesus Christ purchased us by giving His life so that we could be a part of His family forever
April 9
Talk: Have you ever been saved? (could by physically or spiritually) Do you know what it means to be saved spiritually?

Text: And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Acts 10:39-43

Truth: Jesus died for you to save you from your sins. What is keeping you from trusting in Him today?
April 16
Talk: How do you make decisions? Who do you listen to?

Text: Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south[a] to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship Acts 8:26-27

Truth: The Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus and to live our lives for Jesus. He helps us know what to do and gives us the power to do it.
April 23
Talk: What do you think the Church’s job is? What characteristics do you think a Church should have?

Text: Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:3-4

Truth: The church is about helping others physically and spiritually.
April 30
Talk: Who should Christians talk to about Jesus?

Text: He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. Acts 28:30-31

Truth: Christians are called to talk to everyone about Jesus. Can I share who He is with you today?
May 7
Talk:
Would you consider yourself obedient or disobedient to those in authority? Parents? Political Leaders? God?

Text: He said to them, “Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you, for I know it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you.” Jonah 1:12

Truth: When we disobey God it comes with a consequence. We all deserve Hell, but God provided a way for that consequence to be paid for. Do you know Jesus?

Talk: What’s the biggest fish you have caught? Have you ever been in trouble and called out for help?

Text: Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. Jonah 2:1-2

Truth: When Jonah was in trouble he called out to God and God heard him and saved him. He can save you today through Jesus Christ
May 21
Talk: Have you ever heard a message from God? How did/would you respond to hearing about your sins and how Jesus saves you?

Text: When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it. John 3:10

Truth: Ninevah admitted their disobedience and God relented of His punishment. He does the same for us through Jesus!

Talk:
 Who deserves compassion? How do you show compassion for someone?

Text: And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. Jonah 4:2

Truth: God is a God of compassion who is slow to get angry and relents from our punishment. What does that mean to you?
June 4
Talk: What are some ways you learn new things? What’s the last thing you learned about
God?

Text: but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He
is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does
not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:2-3

Truth: True Wisdom and growth comes from God through His word!
June 11
Talk: who are you thankful for in your life? Why are you thankful for them? Do you know what God has done for you?

Text: It is he who remembered us in our low estate for his steadfast love endures forever; and rescued us from our foes, for his steadfast love endures forever; he who gives food to all flesh, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 136:23-26

Truth: There are so many things we can thank and praise God for! Whether we are in a hard time or good time let’s come up with a list of thanksgiving together!
June 18
Talk: When is the last time you felt grief or sorrow? How did you respond? Did you talk to God, why or why not?

Text: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? Psalm 22:1

Truth: God invites us to come honestly and vulnerably to Him. When times are tough God desires to hear from you and He will be there and respond.
June 25
Talk: What do you know about kings? Would you rather have a king or a president, why? What are the benefits of a king?

Text: Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2

Truth: God is the King of the universe and rules from heaven. He has the best interest for us in mind and guides with authority and might. .
July 2
Talk: Who is Jesus? What has he done? How should we respond?

Text: I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

Truth: Jesus made all things and he hears you and he is your help! He is worthy of all praise!
July 9
Talk: How was the world created? How did humans come into existence?

Text: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7

Truth: God, an intelligent Creator, made us and all that we see.
July 16
Talk: Who determines what is right and wrong? What should be the consequence for doing something wrong?

Text: The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” Genesis 6:5-7

Truth: God, the Creator, is the one who determines right and wrong and decides the consequences.
July 23
Talk: Who do you trust to keep their promise? Have you ever been hurt by a broken
promise?

Text: And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great,
so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I
will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 12:2-3

Truth: God has blessed every nation through Jesus Christ, who is a descendant of
Abraham.
July 30
Talk: Do you like to follow directions? Do you believe that God has a plan for you?

Text: Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1

Truth: God does have a plan for you, sometimes He just shows you one step at a time. Will you trust His plan today?
August 6
Talk: How do you respond to bad times? How do you feel when people are against you?

Text: Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of
you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be
faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10

Truth: We can stand firm in our faith because God goes with us in the bad times.
August 13
Talk: How do you listen for what God says? Is it possible that you missed out on something
God said? What could you do to listen to God more?

Text: He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who
conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’ Revelation 2:7

Truth: Listening and following God has eternal impacts!
August 20
Talk: What is something that you like to eat that is cold, hot. Is there anything you like to eat that is lukewarm?

Text: “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16

Truth: God wants you to be all in for Him. What do you need to repent of today?
August 27
Talk: Do you know where you are going when you die? How sure are you?

Text: And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

Truth: In the end everyone will go to Heaven or Hell. If you do not believe in God you will go to Hell forever. He and I want you to be with Him forever, can I tell you about Him?
September 3
Talk: Do you think that what teachers, parents, bosses say is a suggestion or an expectation? Why?

Text: Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me. Isaiah 1:2

Truth: God expects His children to be obedient and all that He expects us to do is for our good!
September 10
Talk: Have you ever experienced an unfair consequence? Do you think God gives unfair consequences?

Text: Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste,and the Lord removes people far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. Isaiah 6:11-12

Truth: The consequence of God is always fair and is done to turn people to Him!
September 17
Talk: When were you born? What are some names your family and friends have called you? Do you know any names that people have called Jesus?

Text: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Truth: That is who Jesus is! What do those names say to you about Jesus?
September 24
Talk: Has anyone ever paid for something for you? What was the most expensive thing that someone has paid for you? How are you going to pay for the mistakes that you have made?

Text: But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Truth: Good news, Jesus has already paid the eternal debt of your mistakes! Will you receive that payment today?
October 1
Talk: What has been your favorite BOGO purchase? How does it feel knowing that God gives the gift of salvation and eternal life to those who believe?

Text: “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain. From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord. Isaiah 66:22-23

Truth:
God gives salvation and eternal life to those who believe! Will you get the GOGO today?
October 8
Talk: Where have you heard the best news of your life? What was that news? Have you heard the good news?

Text: How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So, faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:14-17

Truth: The good news is that Jesus willingly died for you. Do you believe that?
October 15
Talk: Where do you look for peace when things get hard? Do you think it is possible to have peace in suffering, why or why not?

Text: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Truth: We can have peace because no circumstance can separate us from the love God.
October 22
Talk: What are you good at? What are you passionate about? Why are you good at that thing and passionate about it?

Text: Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8

Truth: God has given each one of us abilities and passions to use for His glory.
October 29
Talk: Do those in authority or those who could be in authority cause any anxiety in you? What do you think this says about the spiritual health of our nation?

Text: Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. Romans 1:24-25

Text: He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

Truth: God puts leaders in power to fulfill His purpose, which is to draw people to Himself.
November 5
Talk: Have you ever talked with someone and wondered if they were even listening? Do you think God hears what we say and what we pray? What does God do?

Text: Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Exodus 3:7-8

Truth: God hears the prayers of His people and will deliver them.
